| Motorcycle & Scooter Brake Pads Motorcycle Products stock brake disc pads for almost every motorcycle, scooter and ATV. Some motorbikes have drum brakes which are generally found on old bikes, smaller bikes, some scooters and quads etc. Other bikes or scooters may have brake discs, some only on the front or front & rear and some of the bigger motorcycles have two (twin discs) discs on the front. Whichever system you have, you will need one set of brake pads for each brake disc, so if you are buying for the front and have twin discs, you will need two sets of pads. Brake drums require brake shoes and are not to be confused with brake pads. Which grade of pad should you buy for your bike? Well you really need to replace both the front & rear (if disc brakes) brake pads at the same time. Sintered HH brake pads are of a higher grade than standard GG organic pads and will last much longer. The best value for money, stopping power and long life are the HH sintered pads. Sold in pairs or fours, you may need more than a single set of pads if you have twin discs. We would recommend using HH pads on machines 600cc and over and also on smaller bikes ridden hard or for racing etc. GG standard pads are the ones to go for if you are unsure and particularly if mixing with unknown already fitted brake pads |
