Our online shop
has brand new spares for sale for the Kawasaki ER-6 Series.
In 2005: Both
the Kawasaki ER-6n (Naked) and Kawasaki ER-6f (Faired) versions launched. ABS
models also available.
Kawasaki ER-6f: faired version is slightly heavier at 178kg and about £300 more
expensive, otherwise identical.
Only two months after the ER-6n made such an impressive impact on the mid-weight
motorcycle class, the younger brother ER-6f enters the scene. Now you have the
choice between the avant-garde styled naked version and its sophisticated
brother, equipped with a full fairing.
The good thing is that you can't really make a mistake, since both ER-6 models
share the same genes and introduce a new genre to motorcycling: the entry-level
bike with the styling, build quality and performance of much pricier machines.
These broad-spectrum machines are suited to riders of all ages and abilities.
Whether male or female, the core appeal of the ER-6 is that of a motorcycle at
the very cutting edge of contemporary design, as pleasing to look at as it is
easy to ride.
As with the "ER-6n", the "ER-6f" is powered by the well-known parallel
two-cylinder engine mounted in a sleek, lightweight chassis, making the ER-6
extremely manoeuvrable and very rider friendly. And don't be fooled by that
compact power unit, the ER-6 punches out plenty of satisfying power. Electronic
fuel injection ensures seamless and smooth power delivery across the rev range.
The ER-6 is as nature-friendly as it is rider-friendly, as it is the only
machine in its category to meet the stringent Euro-III emissions regulations. In
addition to the very effective petal disc brakes, customers looking for an added
degree of reassuring braking performance can also choose models with front and
rear ABS.
The difference with the ER-6f is the aerodynamic full fairing, offering good
wind and weather protection and contributing to the ER-6f's exceptional fuel
efficiency. For performance fans and people who like to ride on motorways, the
ER-6 is surely the best choice. Not only the functionality, but also the design
will play a role when it comes to the question of whether to choose an "Naked"
or an "Faired" version.
The latter shows a clean, sophisticated styling with an aggressive headlight
design. Any resemblance to the awesome Z1000 is purely intentional. The two-tone
seat design contributes to the bike's slim and sporty styling and gives the
impression of a single seat cover. When you look at the instrument panel, you
will find more differences. The compact step-motor speedometer features an LCD
display with digital readouts for odometer, twin trip meter and clock as well an
LED water-temperature warning lamp. The tachometer houses both a fuel gauge and
an LED fuel-injection warning lamp.
Fun to ride, rider-friendly and great looking, the ER-6 has something for
everyone, from beginners to experienced riders. Like the ER-6n, the new ER-6f is
an expression of Kawasaki's vision of motorcycling's future - a vision born of a
passionate commitment to offering the sheer enjoyment of motorcycling to the
widest possible audience.
