It is based on synthetic resins, fast drying solvents and when fully cured resists all common building materials and splashing by dilute acids/alkalis, petrol and diesel.

How does Hammerite Metal Finish work? Hammerite Metal Finish is quick drying and capable of multi-coat application in a few hours. The specially selected resins impart a gloss or satin finish which sheds water and resists dirt pick up. Hammerite Metal Finish also contains heat hardened glass flakes which leaf together as the paint dries to provide a highly impermeable barrier to moisture. Hammerite Metal Finish has excellent wetting properties making it tolerant to poorly prepared ferrous surfaces.
